Did you see the
interview with Justin Rose?
His plan for the day was to accomplish one small goal at a time. Then repeat for every shot on every hole. For example, hit it to one particular spot off the tee because that's the best place to set up the next shot.
He's not thinking about what he will score on the hole and how many putts he might make. Just one small goal, shot after
shot.
This is his routine. His method. His mindset.
It's similar to the 'one shot at a time' mindset. But focusing on one simple goal allows him to build confidence as early as the first shot off the tee. Then he continues building confidence on every hole leading to success after success.
Naturally,
these small goals help him achieve his bigger goal of getting a birdie or par and building momentum into the next hole.
If you don't think building a simple routine is important or that you're not good enough to have one, think again. The results can be mind blowing.
