If you are aware that your distance off the tee is suffering and your swing isn't
quite the same as it used to be, this might help explain what might be happening. According to a study published in the Journal of Aging Research, there are significant differences in shoulder, hip and spine flexibility in seniors from 55 to 86 years of
age. Shoulder flexibility showed a significant decline averaging 5 degrees/decade in men and 6 degrees/decade in women. Hip Flexibility showed a significant decline averaging 6 degrees/decade for men and 7 degrees/decade. At the age of 71 years, it appears that both upper and lower body flexibility show an accelerated
decline in males. How about performing the right stretches, exercises and drills for your age? It's not too late and you can still maximize distance off the tee. P.S.
