How to handle low putts
Thanks to Phil Kenyon, Scottie Scheffler has dramatically improved his putting.
Phil Kenyon explains why many
golfers miss putts low due to their misunderstanding of the apex of the putt.
The apex is the highest point on the ball's curved path, but golfers often mistakenly aim directly at it. Instead, they need to aim higher than the apex because the ball begins to break as soon as it is struck.
To successfully make the putt, golfers should visualize the curve and recognize that they must start the ball at a higher point to allow it to break down through the apex and into the hole.
By adjusting their aim accordingly, golfers can improve their putting accuracy and reduce missed putts.
